SUMMARY:Open House - Flood Repetitive Loss Area Analysis
DESCRIPTION:Repetitive Loss Area Analysis 5-Year Update. \nThe Town of Shandaken is in the process of developing a 5-year update to their FEMA Community Rating System (CRS) Repetitive Loss Area Analysis (RLAA). \nThis analysis takes a deeper look into potential sources of repetitive flooding that has impacted insurable structures over the years and qualifying mitigation actions that align with land use\, property owner actions\, and/or larger mitigation actions such as structural elevation or acquisition. Under the process of a 5-year update\, a voluntary online survey has been developed for citizen engagement. To participate in the online survey\, CLICK HERE. To participate in the survey in person\, a representative of the Town will be available Monday\, August 25th from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. to visit with citizens at the Town Hall lobby\, 7209 NY-28.
