The NYSDOT is mandated to collect traffic count data every 3rd year on 25% of roads in New York State. Starting Monday 11/17/2025 you may notice a traffic study camera on a few local roads. The cameras count vehicle volumes and determine vehicle classifications like car, pickup, bus, semi-truck
The counters are anticipated to be installed on a Monday and removed on the following Friday. Questions and concerns about these divices should nto be directed to the Town but sheould be directed directly with the NYSDOT. Roads that are on the list for our municipality are as follows (may be subject to change)
Station Road, Bonne View, Woodchuck Hollow, CR 40 Whittenbergh, NY 212, Mystic Road, CR 40 Old 28, NY214 and Miller road.
