Town of Shandaken Seeking Phoenicia Water Committee Members. Non-Compensatory position. The Committee will be charged with ensuring the maintenance and function of the Phoenicia Water District by:
• Evaluating expenses, fund balances, and water rates
• Evaluating vendors and practices
• Reviewing water related facilities and ensuring their operation
• Reviewing and prioritizing water district capital improvements
• Identifying grant / other funding opportunities for the water district
• Assisting the District Water Commissioner and other water district staff
• Recommending to the Shandaken Town Board any changes as may be needed to best facilitate ongoing operations
