SETTING A TIME AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ABOUT PROPOSED
LOCAL LAW #1 OF 2026 ENTITLED “FILMING PERMITTING.”
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town Board of the Town of Shandaken will hold a public hearing on Monday, July 6, 2026 at 6:45. to hear public comments on the proposed LOCAL LAW #1 of 2026 Entitled ‘FILMING PERMITTING. All persons interested shall be heard. Shandaken Town Hall. 7209 State Rt. 28.
WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Shandaken has considered adopting a Local Law pursuant to Municipal Home Rule Law § 20 and Town Law § 29-1 entitled “Filming Permitting” to the Town Code; and
WHEREAS, the adoption of the proposed Local Law requires a public hearing; and
WHEREAS, adoption of the proposed Local Law is a Type II action and can be adopted
without further regard to SEQRA; and
WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Shandaken wishes to set a time and place for a public hearing with respect to proposed Local Law #1 of 2026, so that the public may be heard;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that a public hearing be held by the Town Board of the Town of
Shandaken with respect to the aforesaid proposed Local Law on July 6 @ 6:45pm and it is further
RESOLVED, that the Town Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause public notice of said hearing to be given as provided by law.
